How we try to find out if we have been effective

It's really important to us that we know we are having the desired effect on our paritcipants and that they are benefitting from the experience.

We make every attempt to evaluate all elements of the programme - everything from setting and logistics, to atmosphere and programme content.

We have done this throughout the five programmes we have delivered so far.  Each element of the training is rated from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent).

In addition to formal evaluation, we ask participants to complete written testimonials and we also ask them to rate programme objectives before they arrive, and at the end of the programme to determine if any difference has been made.

Last but not least, we ask participants to rate Trainer Competences (from the European Training Strategy) in order to determine the value they put on  humour contributing to those competences.

Below is a summary of the scores from the main elements of the programme.

  • Programme Activities:  - 4.1 (82%)

  • Aims and objectives achieved - 4.37 (87.4%)

  • Programme methodologies can be used in future European youth projects  - 4.67 (93.4%)
