I have a number of passions - my kids (and 'big lumps' now as we say in Derry) and my grandkids, humour, reading, writing, Liverpool FC, Dairylea Triangles, Tea and last but by no means least, music. I love Carlsberg too but I don't want to make it sound like I have a drink problem!
As passions go though, I just couldn't imagine a world and in effect, my own life without music. I've always said, when all else fails, you still have humour and music. If and when people inevitably let you down or disappoint or don't meet your expectations, you can always count on humour to lift you and music to get lost in.
Music is not only very important to me on a personal level but I use it often in my work. I work much better when music is on in the background and I have a cup of tea in my hand. I particularly enjoy sharing and using music when working with groups during training, particularly in the international setting.
My little love affair with music has led to my having my own Mixcloud Account where I get to indulge myself! I love putting together various mixes but have only really started so it's still early days! I do believe I came up with a class DJ name though - took me a long time to think of it, mulled over it for ages, even took time of work to think about it, so if you want to hear some fab tunes just click on Fergal1. Quality, eh? Thought you'd agree!
Joking aside - if you fancy a good range of music including some beautiful, laid back tracks of the 'therapeutic' kind you can check always check out the Blue Moon Playlists, or any of Humour Music Therapy playlists, if you want something a little more upbeat there's Budapest Comfort Break; you can enjoy some dancing with Natalie Bell's Ultimate Birthday Bash or Annie's Birthday Bash but if you really want to get into the party mode then choose any of my Red Star playlists - there's at least 20 of them, even a four-hour special! If you fancy something a little more gentle, relaxing and mellow, then my Blue Moon playlists might be what you're looking for. In any case, enjoy, and if you like any of them please share with them friends, family and colleagues. It'll help get my list of followers into double figures!
